Important Information

This is a locally guided trip that joins other travelers, booked through GECtravel and other companies, on a ship owned by an independent company. This trip is open for anyone to join. You can sign up as a solo traveler* OR join with a spouse, friends or other family members. All are welcome!
*Solo Travelers: You're in luck! No mandatory single supplements. We provide free roommate matching (subject to availability) - unless, of course, you'd prefer a single room.

There are less than 110 passengers on this ship, so therefore this tour is subject to VERY limited availability. Therefore, please DO NOT purchase your airfare or any personal travel requirements until you receive a written confirmation from GEC guaranteeing departure and confirming the booking of your space with the ship.

Prices are based on Twin occupancy standard cabin and 5* hotels for the optional extension. Single cabins/rooms may be available at an additional charge, however if you do not mind being paired up with a roommate of the same gender, then we will match you up at no additional charge. For this cruise & extension, we provide free roommate matching - unless you'd prefer to purchase a single room. Once we get two people of the same gender booked (both just the ship or both including the extension), or you purchase the single option, we'll make the booking request with the ship company and confirm your booking (subject to availability at the time we book with the ship). You’ll then join the ship’s program, local guides and other passengers on your journey through Russia! If Standard rooms are no longer available, we will offer you the choice to upgrade to the next available room class at an additional charge (both roommates must approve upgrade to proceed).

All prices are land/ship only. You are responsible for making your own international flight arrangements between your home city and the start/end locations and for arriving at the designated departure location as per the itinerary. However, your international flights SHOULD NOT be booked until you receive a written guarantee from GEC that the trip is guaranteed to go and that your space is booked and confirmed by the ship company. If you would like to discuss international flight options, please contact us

If you are ONLY doing the cruise portion of the trip, it is highly recommended that you come in a day early (and extend your trip by a day). This way you can rest after your flights, allow for any travel/flight delays, and even explore St Petersburg a bit on your own. We can help arrange hotels through the ship company at an extra charge or you can simply arrive at the ship as instructed. (contact us for details).

Costs are based on current group prices, permit fees and transportation costs and will be revised in case of any enhancements by the Govt, ship company and/or transportation authorities. Once you book your trip and we confirm your space with the ship, specific cancellation policies apply. See terms and conditions for complete details, which can be viewed during checkout or by clicking here.

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 month following the last day of the tour.

Visas are required for U.S. and Canadian citizens and must be obtained before departure. We will provide details on obtaining your Visa (in conjunction with the ship), however please always ensure that you confirm the latest requirements with the Russian embassy/authority for your country of citizenship.

This is a locally run and guided ship-based trip (and land-based for the trip extension) that is open to anyone. It is an exciting and active trip that is constantly on the go exploring the best of Russia and covering lots of area, yet with plenty of time for relaxation. Due to the ship-based aspect of this trip, this trip is unique and unlike many of GEC’s other trips in that you will be joining a larger locally run and guided ship and group tours that will have people from a variety of countries who booked through companies other than GEC. Tours will be conducted in English, but may also include other languages. This is not only a great way to see Russia in a luxurious fashion, but also meet other travelers from all over the world.
