Enjoy an exclusive journey through the magical and exotic country of Thailand on this 10 day adventure. Starting in the vibrant city of Bangkok you will visit ornate palaces and temples, and take a scenic river cruise down the Chao Phraya River. You will then travel up to Chiang Mai and visit the nearby jungles. Here you will take an exciting Elephant ride, as well as travel down the Mae Taeng River on a traditional bamboo raft.

You will end this exciting tour with a visit to the unforgettable beaches of Southern Thailand. With their towering limestone cliffs and crystal clear emerald waters, the spectacular beautiful beaches of Thailand are the perfect ending to an amazing trip.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1:
Arrive Bangkok

Upon arrival at the airport in Bangkok, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax and explore the city of Bangkok. Overnight in Bangkok


Day 2:
Bangkok City Tour (B,L)

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Bangkok, including visits to the Royal Grand Palace and numerous Wats (temples), including Thailand’s most famous: Wat Po, birth place of traditional Thai Massage techniques. Overnight in Bangkok.


Day 3:
Tour of Ayutthaya and River Cruise Back to Bangkok (B, L)

In the morning, you will travel with your guide from Bangkok to the north to visit the ancient city of Ayutthaya, the former Thai capital for over 400 years. Here you will visit the beautiful Royal Summer Palace and many Wats and other important sights. In the afternoon, you will return to Bangkok via a river scenic cruise down the Chao Phraya River. Overnight in Bangkok.


Day 4:
Fly Bangkok to Chiang Mai. City and Temple Tour (B, D)

Today you will take a flight to the lush northern region of Thailand. Arriving in Chiang Mai, you will be met by the tour guide and transferred to the hotel. Once you are settled, your guide will take you on a tour of Chiang Mai, making stops at a number of important and scenic sights, including the Doi Suthep Temple (one of the most sacred temples in Chiang Mai), Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep and at a hilltop lookout to enjoy a panoramic view of the whole city. You’ll then return to the hotel and have the afternoon to relax on your own. In the evening you will enjoy a traditional northern hill tribe welcome dinner, including a hill tribe dancing show. Overnight in Chiang Mai


Day 5:
Elephant Safari and Bamboo Rafting Trip (B, L)

In the morning you will make a much anticipated visit to a nearby Elephant Camp to see the elephants at work in a jungle area. Here you will see how the elephants are trained and cared for by their loving handlers. You will then take an exciting elephant ride along the jungle trails. You will return, via an Ox-Cart ride, back to the camp. After lunch at the elephant camp you will take a ride on a traditional local handcrafted bamboo raft down the beautiful Mae Taeng River. On your return ride to Chiang Mai, you’ll stop at an Orchid nursery to learn about the history of these beautiful flowers. Overnight in Chiang Mai


Day 6:
Chiang Rai and Golden Triangle Tour (B, L)

After breakfast you will visit the Mae Sai Border Market on the Thai / Myanmar border, one of the biggest border markets in Thailand. This is a great place to purchase souvenirs and to browse a variety of local products, such as local foods, clothes, jewelry, silverware, stones, etc.

After a great local lunch, you will visit the famous Golden Triangle where 3 country borders meet (Laos, Myanmar & Thailand) and are also connected to China by boat as well. Discover the ancient history of this region; the infamous Opium Route which was once used to traffic opium to Thailand and the surrounding countries. Later you will visit the Opium House to learn more about the Opium trade, its history, galleries, accessories and etc. The evening is yours to spend at your leisure. Overnight in Chiang Mai


Day 7:
Fly Chiang Mai to Phuket. Tour of Phuket (B)

Today you will fly from Chiang Mai to the beautiful island of Phuket in the south. After settling into the hotel, you will be introduced to Phuket with a sightseeing tour. Exploring the natural beauty of the island, you will visit one of the island's best scenic spot where you can witness the beautiful bays of Kata Noi, Kata, Karon and Kho Poo Island. Other attractions visited are Wat Chalong, Phuket's most beautiful and renowned monastery, the Gypsy Village at Rawai Beach, a Cashew Nut Factory where you may sample these culinary delights, and you will finish off the day with a stop at the famous sunset viewpoint at Phromthep Cape - one of the most beautiful panoramas on the island. Overnight in Phuket.


Day 8:
Boat Tour to Koh Phi Phi Islands (B, L)

After breakfast you will witness one of the most spectacular sights in Asia; the legendary island of Koh Phi Phi, where the movie “The Beach” with Leonardo DiCaprio was filmed. Departing from Phuket, you will take an exciting boat ride across the crystal clear waters of the Andaman Sea. Stopping along the way to visit Long Beach, Phi Phi Don Island and to snorkel in the beautiful and warm waters, you will enter the nearly enclosed lagoon of Koh Phi Phi. Surrounded on all sides by towering limestone cliffs and punctuated with aqua blue waters that are warmer than the air, the beauty of this national park island is unsurpassed. It is truly one of the great destinations on earth. Overnight in Phuket.


Day 9:
Free Day in Phuket at Beach (B)

With a full week of excitement and visiting some of the most beautiful destinations in Asia, the day is yours to spend at your own leisure. Spend the day relaxing at the beach, strolling through the shops and market places, or swimming in the crystal clear waters. Be sure to explore the famous nightlife and numerous restaurants of Phuket. Overnight in Phuket.


Day 10:
Fly Phuket to Bangkok. Trip ends (B)

You are free to spend the morning at your leisure until it is time to transfer to the airport. Fly from Phuket to Bangkok where you trip ends.

This tour requires a total minimum of 2+ people to run. Please DO NOT purchase your airfare or any personal travel requirements until you receive a written confirmation of guaranteed departure.

Prices are based on double occupancy in twin rooms. A single room supplement applies on private trips to those staying in a room on their own.

All Prices are LAND ONLY. You are responsible for making your own international flight arrangements and for arriving at the designated departure location as per the itinerary.

Visa are not required for Thailand for citizens of the US and Canada (at time of writing), however your passport must be valid for at least 6 months following the last day of the tour. Please check the nearest Embassy or Consulate for current requirements for your nationality. NOTE: it is the traveler's responsibility to obtain any and all visas for entry.

It is recommended that you extend your arrival and departure by at least one day to avoid conflicts due to potential travel delays and to further explore the exotic city of Bangkok.
